The main heroes are brother and sister, Vincent "Vin" Alexander and Brittany Ava "Britt" Winslow.

 

In 1982, a young woman named Cassandra Lennox, is shot on the streets of Chicago. It looks like she's a accidental victim. But she leaves two young children behind, already put into adoption by two different families, who, after 20 years, are deciding to find one another. They are not common people.

 

Cassandra and her children come from the ancient family of the warriors and magicians, fighting the powers of evil. In every generation only one child was born, who was inheriting both magical and warrior powers. For the first time in the family history, at the end of the 20th century, two children were born, and their powers were divided.
